Threat level: 4.0 (High Threat) — Low-sec system with near-constant predator activity. Industrial pilots and small/rookie frigates are primary targets.
Summary
- Two confirmed aggressors operating complementary schedules and tactics:
- Hunter Dredd (Char 744537204): Loki / Orthrus. Active broadly 22:00–11:00 UTC. Targets miners and small frigates; fast, decisive engagements. Thread-level 4.5.
- Dejan Estemaire (Char 2113053476): Tristan / Dramiel. Active ~16:00–19:00 UTC. Fast, persistent frigate hunter; notable capsule kills. Thread-level 4.0.
- Confirmed victim types: Venture, Procurer, Retriever, Endurance, Velator, Heron, Incursus — plus capsule kills after initial losses.
Tactical implications
- Danger windows cover much of the day: prime-time afternoon through late evening and into morning UTC. Expect elevated risk when either predator's window overlaps your activity.
- Attacks are opportunistic and can escalate to capsule kills. Slow or unescorted industrials are prime prey.
Recommended actions (rooted in observed patterns)
- Avoid Alachene during the identified times if possible:
- 16:00–19:00 UTC (Dejan Estemaire activity)
- 22:00–11:00 UTC (Hunter Dredd activity)
- Do not operate solo mining/hauling in-system. Use escorts or run group ops with scouts.
- If you must transit or work here:
- Scout first (alt or wingmate) and D-scan frequently. Warp to bookmarks or gates only after a clear scan.
- Fly ships that can align/warp out quickly; fit mobility and warp core stabs where appropriate.
- Haulers: avoid predictable routes and undock times; use warp-fit cruisers or escorts.
- If engaged:
- Do not attempt prolonged fights or revenge fights after your ship is lost — historical encounters show killers will pursue pod kills.
- Assume capsule loss after a ship kill; maintain appropriate jump-clone placement and implant risk management.
- Fleet ops: prefer small gangs that can punish or deter frigate hunters; bring tackle control and point-clear plans.
- Station discipline: undock with a plan to escape. Avoid loitering in local.
