Gerper

Gerper – 2025-09-23

Gerper System Advisory — HIGH THREAT (Avoid 02:00–04:00 UTC)

System: Gerper (Low-Sec, Everyshore)
Period analyzed: 2025-09-17 to 2025-09-21
Overall threat level: HIGH

Summary

  • Gerper experienced intense, organized fleet action concentrated on Sunday 21 Sep between ~02:00–04:00 UTC, with 50+ kills in roughly an hour. Large-capable fleets (Machariel, Apocalypse, Leshak, Zirnitra) engaged one another and struck capitals. Persistent solo/small-gang hunters also operate intermittently.
  • Weekend early-morning UTC hours are the highest risk window. Outside that window, opportunistic hunters still present a continuous danger to miners, industrials and light PVE ships.

Primary Threats

  • Machariel Fleet (Implied): Large, organized fleet centered on Machariels with heavy support (Vindicators, Leshaks, command ships). Capable of sustained fleet-on-fleet and anti-capital action.
  • Apocalypse Fleet (Implied): Opposing large battleship force with Leshak and Zirnitra capital support; involved in major engagement with heavy losses on both sides.
  • Small Gang Retribution (Implied): Fast harassment force (Retributions, Maledictions, Flycatchers) active during major fights and for clean-up/harassment.
  • Solo/small hunters: Notable pilots operating Nemesis, Wolf, Orthrus, Loki — regularly target Ventures, Vexors, Drakes, MTUs and other soft targets.

Vulnerable Targets

  • Mining barges (Ventures), industrials, low-skill/AFK fits, small cruisers (Vexor, Drake), MTUs. Capitals and support ships have also been lost in fleet clashes.

Tactics Observed

  • Scheduled/organized fleet operations during weekend early-morning UTC hours.
  • Overwhelming force engagement by battleship fleets and capital support.
  • Opportunistic solo/small-gang hunting outside main fights — cloaky/stealth and high-mobility tactics.

Immediate Recommendations

  • Avoid Gerper between 02:00–04:00 UTC (peak activity). Weekend early-morning UTC is especially dangerous.
  • If transit is necessary, prefer fast, cloaky, or interdiction-nullified fits; avoid slow industrial/mining ships.
  • Travel with fleet support when operating inside the system; otherwise keep to jump/freighter routes and safe bookmarks.
  • Be alert for gate camps, combat probes, and multi-stage fleet compositions (large ships supported by fast harassers).
  • Do not linger on undocked or stationary targets (MTUs, mining ops) during risk windows.

This advisory is based on killboard analysis over the specified period; exercise heightened vigilance while operating in or through Gerper.
